I'm glad we agree across party lines that the #Council's unwillingness to find compromise on key legislative issues cannot continue. The only way to effectively strengthen our defence is together. We will keep making that point to #MemberStates.
Today's deal on the #DefenceOmnibus is another missed opportunity. More harmonisation, a stronger European industry and further steps towards a #SingleMarket for defence were on the table. But once again, the #Council didn't walk the talk.
