Just to underscore how incredible this story is, when i went back to read it again after sending it to a friend, I was BLOWN AWAY that the paragraph about the farm and the mom was only like 50 words in. This story feels like a galaxy inside a thimble.
Something called the Texas Scorecard bringing whole new meaning to the word "scrutiny." You love to see it.
BAD NEWS LIBS, JAMES TALARICO IS APPARENTLY DATING WOMEN HE MEETS AT WORK. MORE THAN ONE, THOUGH NOT AT THE SAME TIME. THEY HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT HIM AND ALSO NOBODY IS HIDING ANYTHING: PRETTY SUSPICIOUS?? THEY LOOK VERY CUTE TOGETHER. CHECKMATE, LEFTY SCUM.
This is utterly stunning storytelling from @emilyrinkema.bsky.social. The voice is brilliant and painful and perfect. I'm blown away by how this little piece seeps itself, along with its truth, into your soul as you read it. A revelation. www.whaleroadreview.com/rinkema/

My mom told me that when my dad read a story of mine he had to take a while to recover. I don't think I've ever had a more meaningful reaction to my writing before. Thanks to @templeinacity.bsky.social for publishing this and making this moment happen. templeinacity.com/fiction-by-c...

I just cannot believe the only two modes are soggy worthlessness and actively harmful to vulnerable groups of people. How is this the world we live in? There has to be a good but also smart person in the world willing to occupy political office, I'm so tired.
This one hits you in the chest. Great, powerful micro from my friend @corriehaldane.bsky.social
