Maybe unpopular, but can we *please* stop calling buying and selling stuff, yes that includes art, "adopting"? This is 1) confusing, 2)obscures the fact that money changes hands (which is perfectly fine, we artists need to eat after all) and 3)incredibly infantilizing to the point of insult.
