The majority of the time when I'm in the supermarket, I don't pick up enough to justify being in a cargo bike. I don't know how people justify driving short distances to the shops and back with even less.

Can you believe we've normalized operating a multi-ton, high-horsepower machine to carry exactly one person to the garden store just to pick up a plastic bucket lid? I fail to understand how bikes aren't viewed as valid urban transportation by much of society.
