Every goddamn time something pops up from this account, I do a double take. Every single time. That is where we are now. And that is also how good this account is.
One of the things I sometimes find almost unbearably moving about the AIDS quilt are the random, mundane objects that are attached to some panels, because I think about how this thing, which is no particular significance in a broader sense, was something the person handled or used every day.
