A successful PhD defense by Akshay Mohan! Was happy to co-supervise with Katja Räsänen over the past 4 years, and to see the development of this work to the final products. Congratulations Akshay! And a big thanks to Micael Jonsson for being the opponent.
Potential implications: (1) intraspecific competition causes plasticity in head allometry, (2) due to altered prey community composition. (3) In low resource environments (ie high intraspecific competition) stickleback consistently invest in their heads, and divert energy from their bodies.

Results: (1) Greenlandic stickleback co-occurring with Arctic char are bigger and (2) have relatively smaller heads than when stickleback are alone in a lake.
