History is repeating itself.
If a system that compares people’s biometric facial data can “tell gardaí that the person who is on O’Connell Street there is the same person who is getting off a bus in Rathmines half an hour later”, that’s biometric identification.
X banned the word “cis” while permitting transphobia and the Guardian headline was pretty much:
“Behold the field in which I grow my fucks. Lay thine eyes upon it and see that it is barren.”
Which is why solidarity is the answer. No hate is acceptable. This racism stinks.
