Everyone making these calls absolutely 100% understands this and that's exactly why they're doing it.
This will slip through the cracks for most Americans. Foreign policy. A poll. Europe. Easy to ignore. In the context of history, it is a stunning, profoundly dangerous collapse and while the US has stumbled in the past, the most recent slide is 100% due to Trump's insanity and failures.
Of course we conclude the obvious - that the US under Trumpofascism is an enemy not an ally. But beyond this, the piss weak response of US institutions, elite media, and most Democrats, tells us the liberal backbone to put the US back on course is missing. That this aberration will not be corrected
