Some places are too good not to share with a plus one, and Ampleforth Abbey is one of them. It's a secret weapon for anyone who loves introducing friends and family to great brews, beautiful views and divine cakes.

🚂 It’s #CommunityRailWeek and we’re shining a light on the Esk Valley Railway. 💚
Recently featured on Songs of Praise, the railway’s wonderful Forget-Me-Not train offers people living with Dementia and their carers a chance to enjoy a memorable day out together.

There’s no one way to volunteer at the North York Moors 🌿
Whether you want to gain experience, protect nature, meet like-minded people, or simply spend more time outdoors, we’ve got lots of opportunities to get involved 💚
Opportunities are available for all ages and interests.
Looking for a thoughtful gift with real meaning? 💚
Instead of another pair of socks or box of chocolates, give a gift that helps care for the North York Moors for future generations. Gift vouchers start from £5 and are available on our website.

We're celebrating the best Brew with a View spots across the North York Moors, like Farndale Store. 🫖☕🌿
Farndale Store is located near the famous Daff Path in Low Mill. It’s a shop filled with locally made gifts and a takeaway counter that’s impossible to walk past without ordering cake and coffee.
The National Park is officially at extreme risk of wildfire.
🧺 No BBQs, stoves or open fires. Bring a cold picnic instead.
🚬 Dispose of cigarettes and matches safely.
🚮 Take all rubbish home, especially glass bottles.
📞 If you see any signs of smouldering or fire, call 999.
Fancy joining us for a walk? Our guided walks are back and running right through to October, all completely free to join. Walks range from 1 mile to 14 miles, and for our linear routes, a return bus service is available at a small cost to take you back to your car.
