kinda impressed with myself how much I've branched out in the past few years
I don't care how good you say this thing is, if my introduction to it is discourse or people being hyper-aggressive in their talking about it I am going to lose interest so fast and probably never re-gain it until people calm the hell down
the eternal feeling of seeing a game or movie or show you already didn't care about in passing but the way its respective fandom soapboxes about it makes you actively want to avoid it
