the solution is to read more books. the problem might also be the books. I'm reading the quantum thief book 3 and, I can never hate hannu rajaniemi's writing, but this is kind of. not bad but. dull...? the story is fine. it's the prose. worst of the trilogy
Ada Basilisk, Haunted Doll VTuber

I got possessor(s) btw technically this is my first switch 2-only game hmm
I need to read some normal books after this. go back to realm of the elderlings maybe. I got frankenstein lined up but maybe let's not go all the way back to the 1800s yet
and the book I'm gonna read after this, have in fact already read the first quarter or so so I'm unfortunately locked in, is rakesfall. and this sure is some prose, it's like 90% just vibes, try to understand a plot through just vibes
kinda been hating my writing so even though I have time to throw at the novel I got, nothing. staring at empty pages and scratching out whatever I ended up writing. how do I hate my own writing less
hmm I kinda don't like ave mujica's new song (the whole blue world). don't like the way it keep halting (?) (also same reason I didn't dig in your blue eyes), and it just feels kind of uninspired. can we get hasegawa daisuke back on composing

I'll be honest, I've never really felt the same way about Death of the Author after learning its origins (Barthes was angry over a Balzac story about a chaser, written over a century prior, for referring to a character as a woman instead of a femboy no I'm not making this up)
