Around 180 residents marched in Oxford in support of trans rights today, following the government’s latest draft code of practice from the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Opponents have called the guidance ‘unworkable’ and say it amounts to an attack on trans and non binary people.
Incredibly happy to sign this alongside representatives from across the Labour movement.
Hate has no place in our country, and certainly doesn't have a place in our manifestos.
This #IDAHOBIT brings deep reflection. As LGBT Labour's Trans Officer & LGBT Rep on the Co-op Party NEC, I won't stay silent on the devastating impact of hostile policies within our movement.

We need policy that protects, not erases. Do better.
The 2026 #Rainbowindex is out: The UK is now definitively behind Estonia on LGBT rights.
Estonia only legalised equal marriage in 2024, yet they scored 7 times higher than the UK on legal gender recognition. The signs of our regression are written in neon. We need change. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
The OfS is making trans students feel deeply unsafe, suggesting "free speech" should come at the expense of the mental health of the country's most vulnerable minorities.
Trans people aren't a debate; we're people. Undermining our identity is a fundamental harm. 🏳️⚧️
