Timelapse of an endothelial cell releasing Weibel-Palade bodies after stimulation with 100 µM histamine. Granules are fluorescently labeled with mStayGold.
We used this approach to study patients with genetic variants in the guanine nucleotide exchange factor MADD. Their endothelial cells showed impaired secretion, which compromises vascular response to injury and may increase bleeding risk. Now published in Blood: authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S....
