My visual novel game Still Heroes has an absolute banger of a description : "Player character is a lesbian superhero with depression". (flagged as "not recommended" 🤣)

A beautifully drawn comic doesn't mean it's a good comic-- panelling and composition in comics is a whole other skill. You can be incredible at drawing and incredibly bad at drawing a comic at the same time. Legibility in comics doesn't even require pretty drawings in the first place.

I've been thinking a lot about visible vs invisible skill layers. i.e every craft has outer layers of skills that laypeople can recognise, and inner layers that you need expertise and experience to perceive at all. Could y'all think of examples of visible vs invisible skills in your own discipline?
