Anarchist "exuberant." Really into exploring the roots of things and expanding degrees of freedom. Incurable woke moralist. Floating metal sphere. “Radically uncool.”

A SECOND person died of exposure last winter after DHS dumped them in the middle of nowhere, miles from their home, without notifying their family.
For two decades I've been too lazy to code and deploy this tool, but here: this takes a sequential pdf and returns an imposed zine version:

Correct. I've extensively and exclusively used GIMP forever and barely know Photoshop, and yet I know perfectly well that Photoshop is objectively better on a ton of fronts (at least before the online-only subscription bullshit) because I can watch professionals in flow with it.

As the few hundred people who read my book know, it's not just a narrative of discourse, but the presentation of a specific position within philosophy of science.
Specifically that "the theoretical virtues" are all facets of one thing: Compression. Here's more on it:

NGL, it was absolutely clear that this was exactly what it was to anyone who'd been paying attention. Literally the main anarcho argument about it at the time was "the EU is shit and fucking evil but UKIP and fellow travellers are fascists and Brexit will be the route to power for UK fascists."
The death of a woman from Haiti seeking asylum in the U.S. who died from hypothermia days after her release from federal custody was ruled a homicide by a Pennsylvania county medical examiner's office.
there is something cathartic about seeing America be as stupid as i always knew it was in a way that's completely impossible to ignore or cognitive dissonance away anymore
In related news, for folks asking for web-reading versions of the imposed zines on zinelibrary.org there's now an automatic "de-imposer" that runs as a link on every zine.

This was one of the nagging "something is very off/different about this scene" vibes I couldn't quite pin down a decade ago when I was traveling widely and then suddenly I recognized what was going on and it fucking shook me when I realized and started seeing it.

The FOSS community around GIMP has ossified and user expectations have also diverged to such a point where it simply can't be advanced to beat Photoshop in usability; it's dead software.
The only answer is to pirate and then opensource Photoshop at gunpoint.
Every country is racist in uniquely horrifying ways (ask a european about the roma or a canadian about south asians) but the profound anti-blackness of the US cannot be overstated. Whenever I travel I'm aways arrested by how much happier and less stressed black folks on the street look.

Nothing says ‘freedom’ like burning taxpayer money on dirt bikes at the White House for a billionaire’s birthday party. Bread’s expensive, rent’s worse, but sure, let’s fund a midlife crisis with fireworks and motocross. Peak empire decay. America is not a serious country.
GIMP is objectively unintuitive and also can’t parse text layers of PSDs properly, it’s designed by FOSS people that have never created tools for professionals. Telling someone to use it for their job is like saying you can make a feature on iMovie. Technically true but not serious.

if you find GIMP hard to use you probably shouldn't be allowed to drive a car or shop at a grocery store. it's literally just buttons with pictures on them that do the things the pictures represent. you don't even need to be able to read.
