The only team that can end this streak is Illinois. The streak goes back to '03 Syracuse. Otherwise every year the team that wins the national championship has either been a 1 seed, #1 in Ken Pom, or named Uconn.
Illinois is currently #4 in KP, though if they win both they could maybe get to #1.
