My fantasy series' characters are even less influenced by pop culture. I do make the occasional pop culture reference, though.
While I appreciate the filmmakers trying to bring Indiana Jones into the 1950s with The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, there was so much annoying in this movie (Mutt Williams and the Refrigerator to name two).
