[June 23rd, 1926] Genevieve M. Foley of Jersey City was a prize winner in the first lip reading tournament held in Philadelphia. She and three others received mentions of merit. Margaret Crawley of Philadelphia won the championship and a silver trophy. There were twenty contestants in total.
