The world is on fire & this has also been an awful year personally, BUT last night I was awarded a Bass Professorship at Duke, an endowed chair in recognition of research, undergrad teaching, & leadership. I had no idea I’d been nominated & am very, very moved by this honor. Esp the teaching part.
