Speaking of gatekeeping, I brought my daughter to a local public park this morning to practice and they have the goals chained up face to face when not in use by a paid league. It's not like they're at-risk of damage (or anything else). Other countries don't do this!

Not only that, we gatekeep the hell out of the best training and resources for youth players so the talent pool isn’t “best of the best”, it’s “best of the kids from rich families”.
