Even (or especially) in hard times with constrained resources, cities need to embrace change and things to look forward to. Predatory delay from political opposition & poor delivery helped kill the Golden Mile, but it was this council that actually did it. We should expect more.
I'm so pissed at both how short sighted this is and the way it rewards the people who have spent 5 years delaying and obstructing the project so they could get this outcome from council eventually.
