I'm already sick to death of reading "pogrom"...word of the day for the non-owners of a Thesaurus. Why not just call them the "Robinson riots" eh? Be a bit more accurate and sling a few deserved shots across the bows of the instigator. It's not difficult is it? Put the blame firmly where it lies.
