Excited to see my piece with Elena Lolli now out in the Bodleian Library Record! We identified erasures in an early 14th-century Italian book of surgery (now @bodleianlibrary.bsky.social MS. Laud Misc. 651) as records of medieval Jewish pawnbrokers in Bologna, using UV images by Andrew Honey! 📜🎉

It's fortunate that many dictionaries are avail. as PDFs or otherwise digitally, but it's even more fortunate when you can flip through a physical copy.
Here's a reprint (1967) of Leiden arabist Reinhart Dozy's /Supplément aux dictionnaires arabes/ (1877–1881).

Found an interesting little 19th-century lithographed Arabic grammar, with text and tables reproduced from handwritten copy. The author, Nicolas Perron (1798-1876) was a French physician, Arabist, and educator.
