I thoroughly enjoyed hearing @janetfew.bsky.social talk about her straw plaiting ancestors in Aston Clinton and the Kimbles. Many of my ancestors were also plaiters and lacemakers in those villages and the surrounding area.
This is a very moving programme, which shares testimonies of people across the UK who experienced The Blitz as children. Their voices and memories are really powerful. I wish my grandparents were still here to tell me their stories.
