We are truly excited about this bill and how it will help spare octopus from the cruelty of industrial farming that we advocate against every day here at the Sanctuary.

Today on World Oceans Day here at Woodstock Sanctuary, we are swimming as fast as we can to spread the good news: the octopus farming ban bill that we have been working on for almost three years has PASSED in the New York Senate and Assembly!

...all our members and volunteers who called and showed up to legislative offices to make this happen, and to all the bill co-sponsors.
There's still one final step as the bill now goes to the Governor, so we aren't done yet, but we will keep you updated.
