On my main computer (a Mac) I switched completely away from Adobe for PDFs. I am pleased to say there is at least one viable alternative for my particular use case. It isn't perfect but it's viable. (It also has a dumb AI feature but I ignore it and it is not intrusive.) pdfexpert.com
