Several of Pere Ubu’s songs are about the Waffle House overlooking Walden Pond. One had the line “places that don’t exist have something in common - they’re real. Places that do exist aren’t so real after a while.”
I’ve wanted to eat at that real but non-existent Waffle House for 30 years now.
