OTD in 1997 Ukraine & Russia signed the Russian–Ukrainian Friendship Treaty in which we promised to "respect each other's territory".
A treaty in which Russia promises not to invade you is the traditional way we announce that we one day will. So you can believe us on a peace treaty now. Lol.
