The Trump administration is dismantling the Ocean Observatories Initiative, a key monitoring system for tracking the climate crisis. Policy expert David Helvarg calls it "the most advanced system for understanding the deep ocean," which was set to continue operating for at least another 15 years.

This isn't a surprise sadly, but if you are a US voter and see your elected leader call a female journalist "darling" with passive-aggressive viciousness, you might want to have a long, hard think about the political culture in your country before you vote next time...
