I am just curious why "a disaster for actual humans who are employed to translate games" is "less egregious" than "machine-made music, textures, and narrative". All of that sounds pretty equally egregious to me.
Xbox and PlayStation have spent the last five years gobbling up every studio they could find, before shuttering them a few years later. I used to call it an “acquisition arms race,” and it’s clear both sides have just given up, and the entire industry is a worse place for it.
