Great thread. Ideally, since Texas is now starting with a clean slate in that Senate seat, we'll elect James Talarico to shift some of that power back to the people!

One thing that won't get enough attention about John Cornyn's loss to Ken Paxton is that, no matter what happens in November, Texas Republicans just willingly gave up seniority in the Senate, one of the most prized currencies in federal politics.
