What do Illumination and 2020s Disney Animation have in common?
They’re both excessively hated on by the Cartoon Community for putting out weaker movies and “playing it safe” with their character models, all in favor of putting others like Sony/DreamWorks on a pedestal, just to fuel a trend.
Don’t you just hate being harassed by Cartoon Community/Animation Twitter dwellers just because you don’t hate a couple animation studios’ movies?
At this rate, I feel like I’m ready to take a break from social media for a while.
The Owl House didn't invent teenagers going to another world either! By that logic, then Sword Art Online and all its isekai ilk would be called ripoffs too.
I been noticing that people are saying that this movie is a ripoff of The Owl House but I don’t think it is. I love The Owl House but people have to realize that there have been several fantasy stories with a similar premise of an outcast human being going to a magical world.

No animation studio is perfect, and you can have a different opinion on something like Illumination or Disney’s recent animated output, but people should stop acting like being a fan of these things is the equivalent of wanting a brain tumor.

Aardman's founders, Peter Lord and David Sproxton, have officially been knighted by the king. Given their wonderful achievements for stop motion animation as well as standing up for their artists, this is a wonderful honor for both!
Here's the first trailer for Hexed, our new film coming out in November! We're working super hard on this one right now.
As usual, 100% rendered using Disney's Hyperion renderer! Also, since it's worth clarifying these days, completely made by humans, btw.
