I hope at some point SE writes that trope for XIV where a character with big long luscious hair has a maybe-i-should-get-bangs character development meltdown and shows up on the next patch (THAT WILL NOW BE NAMED NEXT SEASON, IT FITS) with a short haircut and the ✨new patch new me 🤖✨ attitude
