Millions of us are looking forward to seeing Scotland men’s team on the world’s biggest stage. That’s why we are calling for Scotland’s games to be made free for everyone to watch permanently, not just when we qualify for the World Cup. Football is for everyone! greens.scot/news/scottis...
The Scottish Parliament passed a Green motion to boycott, divest from and sanction Israel. We later found out that no work had started on this proposal. Today I asked the Government when we might see this coming forward. Scotland must not be complicit in genocide.
A proposal by the Scottish Greens to open up privately-held gardens in Edinburgh's New Town has been rejected by councillors. Find out why below... @heraldscotland.bsky.social www.heraldscotland.com/news/2617575...
Young people overwhelmingly backed the Scottish Greens at last month's historic Holyrood election. 💚Help us build a kinder, greener country. Join the movement. greens.scot/join
Fans are being priced out of football. Thanks to John McGinn & Kevin Bridges for highlighting this issue. This week the Scottish Parliament voted for my amendment to cap away tickets in Scotland at £25 but so much more needs done across the game. Football without fans is nothing!
✈️Private jet flights are 30 times more polluting than regular flights. After years of campaigning from Scottish Green MSPs, the Scottish Government is set to introduce a private jet tax!
It is deeply wrong that Scotland cannot decide for itself whether to hold a referendum on its future. Decisions about Scotland should be made by the people who live here, not imposed by Westminster politicians.
Thanks to @gillianmackaygreen.bsky.social for raising this important point during the Summer of Sport debate. The Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow is a huge opportunity - normalising alcohol brands as part of that isn't the legacy Scottish sport needs.
Today, the @scottishgreens.org are calling on MSPs to back a new “Amazon Tax”. This is a chance for all parties to show that they are serious about backing Scotland’s high streets, supporting local jobs and making sure that global giants pay their fair share. greens.scot/news/scottis...

Sport should be about the joy in taking part in physical activity, not about huge profits or industries which harm our health. It is disappointing, therefore, that two of the partners involved in the Commonwealth Games are Coca Cola & Jubel Beer. @shaapalcohol.bsky.social @alcoholfocus.bsky.social
