Last night, Brandon Bussi became just the third goalie in the expansion era (since 1967-68) to make their first career playoff start in the Stanley Cup Final.
He joined Andrei Vasilevskiy (Game 4 of 2015 w/ TBL) and Jussi Markkanen (Game 2 of 2006 w/ EDM).
Jaccob Slavin on what's been a crazy first four games of the Stanley Cup Final:
"Everyone that texts me is saying it's the best hockey they've ever watched... I feel like it's one of those series where you just don't know what's going to happen. It's a battle, and it's fun."
Jordan Staal's five goals are tied for the fifth-most through the first four games of a Stanley Cup Final in NHL history, trailing only a few legends:
• Mike Bossy (7 in 1982)
• Wayne Gretzky (6 in 1985)
• Johnny Bucyk (6 in 1970)
• Jean Béliveau (6 in 1956)
A modest Jordan Staal after scoring his fourth and fifth goals in this year's Stanley Cup Final tonight:
"It's a good time to get hot. I just want to contribute any way I can. The puck's going in for me, and I'll take it."

Nikolaj Ehlers said he saw Jordan Staal "falling in slo-motion" during tonight's game-winning goal.
"At the time, you're not laughing, but after it went in, I was laughing pretty hard and celebrating. That was impressive."

Jackson Blake said Jordan Staal is "doing it all" right now.
“He’s so good defensively, he’s scoring every night, winning face-offs, penalty killing, on the power play. You name it, he’s doing it. He’s been special and a lot of fun to watch.”

Obviously asked post-game what the plan for Thursday's Game 5 is in net, Rod Brind'Amour didn't commit to either Frederik Andersen or Brandon Bussi yet.
"We'll make that decision tomorrow at some point, or maybe even the morning of the game."
Ahead of a long flight back to North Carolina, Rod Brind’Amour said it was “too early in the morning” to discuss goaltending as he met with the media today. 😄😴

Brandon Bussi wouldn't say when he found out he would be getting the start tonight, and he doesn't know what the plan for Game 5 is yet, but in all situations, he's game.
"It's cool to help the team win. In regard to the future, whatever happens, I'll be ready to go."
