We think #lightsheet microscopy can be more flexible, more scalable, & more intuitive. Meet up with @edwardlachica3.bsky.social at #ELMI2026 next week to learn about our light sheet systems & our sample-to-data approach! š¬šµš¹ @ppbioimaging.bsky.social @eurobioimaging.bsky.social @eulimi.bsky.social
How can we get gene therapies to the heart more safely & effectively? š« A research team led by Daniel Siegwart & Eric Olson at the UT Southwestern Medical Center has developed optimized lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) that demonstrate robust, targeted mRNA delivery & therapeutic potential š§µ (1/3)
š½ļø SYFP2 expression data from Dr. Tanya Daigle & Emily Kussick, imaged with #SmartSPIM!
Really excited to finally have this paper published šš. A true team effort spanning many years and multiple lab members. Special thanks to former MS student Amanda Salazar for launching the project and current PhD student Tatiyana Adkins for leading the final push. Proud of everyone who contributed!
Also incredibly honored that our image was selected as the cover art for this issue. We used viral tracing and whole-brain light sheet microscopy to map the brain-wide collateral targets of primary somatosensory cortex neurons that project to the insula.

Yehui Sun & Yu-Chung Pien et al. screened LNPs using human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, then used Clear+ tissue clearing with #SmartSPIM lightsheet microscopy to characterize biodistribution of their lead candidate throughout the whole mouse heart. (2/3)

The quality of your #lightsheet microscopy data is directly dependent on how your sample was prepared. This video shows a general comparison of some popular #tissueclearing methods, followed by Clear+ results from several mouse tissue types. Questions? Email us at [email protected]!
We got to introduce the LSFM community to #DALISPIM light sheet imaging at @mdibl.org last week! The excitement was palpable as we had a packed demo schedule, with students getting to see firsthand how easy DALISPIM is to use.
