It’s too late to re-open the youth clubs and other safe places that used to be in our communities. It’s too late for kids to be able to meet up in groups, because a) wandering the streets isn’t as safe as it used to be and b) boomers will just complain about them.

There’s some serious generational ignorance and prudism at the heart of this. Also, dealing with the social media companies directly would probably be too much like hard work for them.

I don’t have the words to express my thoughts on this.
I saw something earlier, I think on Instagram, that showed 2 teenage girls and had the caption, “Too old for the park, too young for the pub”. This is the gap that social media is filling. Make it safer, don’t take it away.
Who TAF is advising that this is a serious way to tackle this?
