This is Sophie.
She came into Animal Control as a stray, was adopted, & then picked up, again. Her adopted family never came back for her.
My dad adopted her next, and after he passed, she came to live with us. She turns 3 today. Her early years were hard, but she’s finally home.

This is my newly added shade garden. The birdbath in the middle was a gift from my neighbor for my “sanctuary.” For 6 yrs we’ve been removing non‑native plants, adding natives for pollinators & birds, & let the lawn grow naturally. It was wonderful to hear our efforts are being noticed & appreciated
