This is correct. Also-- and it's a complex issue-- kids shouldn't see literal indecent exposure outdoors, but there's some value in kids seeing people dressed in ways that they'd never dress for work or school, being themselves. Long ago we took our kids to Ptown not realizing it was leather week.
I want to get my hands on the people demanding that Pride be child friendly and shake them until their teeth rattle.
Some areas will have family friendly queer events.
But a movement that started with a brick through a window does not have to accommodate the children.
