#CSU came out with it's #June revised #hurricane season outlook and has nudged the numbers down from their #April update. They are now calling for 11 named storms, 5 hurricanes and 2 major Hurricanes. Stay with #weshwx for updates.
As of 8PM #Cristina continues to weaken on approach to Central America. From there it may try to reform in the SW #gulf while heading towards #Mexico. This system could bring some good rain to south #Texas. Stay with #weshwx for updates.
TROPICAL WEATHER UPDATE: We now have a 10% for development in the SW #Gulf over the next 48 hours but nothing that #florida needs to worry about as this feature will head into #Mexico. Stay with #weshwx for updates.
#Cristina has fallen apart and as its moisture lifts north it will combine with a tropical wave over the #Yucatan Peninsula and likely form a weak low over the Bay of #Campeche. Chances are low for development and there's no cause for concern for #florida. #weshwx
2 PM TROPICAL UPDATE: No change fron this morning. Broad low may form but there's a narrow window to develop, if at all, as wind shear is high here. If anything forms it will head into #Mexico with moisture into south #Texas. Stay with #weshwx for updates.
#Cristina is expected to come ashore in Central #America and bring some heavy rainfall that could produce some life threratening flooding. It does have a low chance to redevelop in the SW #Gulf over the weekend while heading to #Mexico. This poses NO threat to #Florida.
The offcial start of #Summer is June 21st when the average high temperature is 91 and average low is 72. Sunrise is 6:28 AM and Sunset is at 8:26 PM. That's 13 hours and 57 minutes of daylight. #weshwx

Late this weekend into next week the heat will be on and we'll be looking at a dangerous stretch of "Feels Like" temperatures across Central #florida. Remember to stay hydrated as the #heat stress is going up! #weshwx

Both of our #futurecast models are showing a decent sea breeze collision this evening. The #HRRR is over the Metro areas while the #GRAF is a bit west from #Marion south to #Lake county. Rainfall amounts where the collision takes place will be in the 1-3+" range today. #weshwx
