This is Matt Radecki. He did post-production on some of the best documentaries of the last 15 years: Icarus, 20 Feet from Stardom, Navalny. Guess who bought Navalny? CNN. You think CNN is going to buy the next Navalny if Bari Weiss is in charge?
This is Ted Milner. He runs a temp agency in Los Angeles. When major studios like Paramount and Warner Brothers merge, they don't just lay off workers. They also use their power to squeeze their suppliers, basically making them pay for the luxury of doing business with the conglomerate.
"They require us to do background checks with their owned and operated background check company which charges us three times the amount of our background checks. We have to use their accounts payable company and the annual fee is $6000. They take a percentage of each invoice before paying us."
Paramount calls real people’s experiences of past mergers and a lived understanding of how our business works “fear-mongering”. What it actually is? Reality. Nobody knows better than those of us who have been doing it for our lifetimes and livelihoods. Corporate lawyers lie and spin #blockthemerger

The Paramount takeover of Warner Brothers wouldn't just hurt people who work in film and TV - it'll affect everyone who watches films and TV. Just one of a few moments from our town hall on Saturday:

The Ellisons have an agenda: to shape narrative and opinions with their control of information: CBS, TikTok, Oracle - and aiming for CNN, HBO, movie studios, documentaries… Bari Weiss is succeeding and advancing their agenda. Here is another example of the human toll & why we must #BlockTheMerger
I don’t know about you all, but I want to laugh more, not less. #BlocktheMerger
The strongest protections against AI at work have come from collective bargaining by organized labor, @bedoyausa.bsky.social says. It’s the workers we should be listening to: “They’re the only ones who seem to understand the assignment.” washingtonmonthly.com/2026/05/20/a...

"The Workers Who Defy Gravity" by @bedoyausa.bsky.social is a must-read. Congress won't protect us from AI, but organized labor is fighting back. Actors, health workers, call center employees are winning against corporations trying to replace us with an algorithm.
AI companies want to monetize what makes us human. Organized labor may be the only force strong enough to stop them.
