Using the resentment index, we also show how the patterns of resentment differ in Alberta and Quebec even though the average is similar.

Do read Jared's piece. The feelings he talks about are complex, multi-faceted and hard to measure. Based on our own imperfect way of capturing those feelings (the resentment index), it does seem like one group of Albertans is warming up to the Federation while the other hasn't moved one bit.
