Lithiotid bivalves thrived following the Triassic-Jurassic extinction event, colonizing many coasts and producing huge build-ups similar to modern oyster reefs. They were strange and elongated clams, forming "banana bunch" like aggregations. Sadly they were wiped out in the Toarcian extinction (115)
