Other departures apparently include Páidí Farrell, Liam Molony, Billy Corrigan and Mahon Ronan. Corrigan and Ronan's departures mean the only lock currently in the Leinster Academy is Alan Spicer, whose future career looks dubious to say the least given recent events.

A few Academy players were named as leaving Leinster at the end of the season yesterday, including Henry McErlean which is a real shame. Looked an incredibly promising player before injuries got in the way. Fond memories of him scoring against Sharks last season then going for a dip in their pool.

If true, an extraordinarily shoddy way for Lowe to be treated, regardless of the rights and wrongs of the general decision not to renew.
