With his 37th feature film, DISCLOSURE DAY, Steven Spielberg returns to exploring the possibility that we are not alone in the universe. Emily Blunt and Josh O'Connor are great, but I found myself curious about the Spielberg we once had and the Spielberg we have now. @seattlecritics.bsky.social
Spielberg’s latest film is even more proof of his cinematic vision. But even that and a career best Emily Blunt can’t save the ridiculously corny writing plaguing some of the most intense moments of DISCLOSURE DAY. #SFCS Check out the full review: www.filmfroth.com/disclosure-d...
DISCLOSURE DAY (2026) shows Spielberg returning to his sci-fi obsessions, but not repeating himself. This is a captivating film. Yes, it’s a movie about aliens, but more importantly, it’s a movie about us. My review. macguff.in/film-reviews... @seattlecritics.bsky.social @ofcs.bsky.social #Filmsky
Now you all are seeing why I haven’t shut up about this movie since September. www.thelastthingisee.com/2025/09/the-...
TIME AND WATER: Sara Dosa’s visually stunning, unshakably sad and transcendent new film confronts the most pressing existential questions of our time. It's the best new film to see this week so you should do so @siffnews.bsky.social📽️ My review @seattletimes.com: www.seattletimes.com/entertainmen...
Hey Seattle, got some great news: John Early is coming to town with his fantastic feature debut MADDIE’S SECRET for the opening night screening on July 10 @siffnews.bsky.social!!! It's really special and unlike anything you've ever seen. Will have more on it then, but for now, read my review below 📽️
THE FURIOUS: Whatever your action movie can do, this one does infinitely better while wearing flip-flops🩴. Also, to nobody in particular, please don't insult this film and its talented creators by calling it a JOHN WICK clone. It's far better than that 📽️ My review: www.inlander.com/screen/revie...
I've been a Hockney fan since my art student days, and he's appeared in several documentaries over the yrs, like Peter Rosen's Who gets to Call It Art? As I wrote, Henry Geldzahler "was particularly close to Andy Warhol and David Hockney, and both would create pieces that revolved around his image."

MADDIE’S SECRET: Wake up fellow alt comedy lovers as John Early’s excellent directorial debut is a John Waters-esque romp for our time. Oh, and Kate Berlant is unstoppable. It's CRY-BABY for a new generation while remaining pure Early 📽️ My #TIFF50 review: www.thewrap.com/maddies-secr...

Kenji Tanigaki’s The Furious is the action movie of the year. It may be the action movie of a few years, because holy hell does it go hard.

Should I See It-Disclosure Day (2026) - Review
Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day delivers strong performances and big ideas, but its search for answers leaves little room for mystery.
