With 1.20" of rain in the past 24 hours, Sea-Tac Airport has received ~83% of June's average rainfall in just the past day! Quite a good amount of rain across the Central Cascades too...up to 2.6" so far! Watching areas of Snohomish County for heavy PSCZ precip today too. #wawx

Sure won't feel like June over the next few days...on Saturday, expect highs 10-20º below average, plus localized high mountain snow, a chance of lowland thunderstorms (watch out!), and rain at times. Decent CAPE (instability) exists Sat. aftn. for t-storm potential! #wawx
Heat wave incoming! Sunday and Monday will be the hottest (hence the heat alerts up!)...Expect highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s for most of Western WA, including #Seattle during the #FIFAWorldCup match on Monday. Near the water (incl. coast), highs will be low-mid 80s. #wawx

With June so far starting off much more active than May this year, only 8 days until meteorology student @matthewpfabwx.bsky.social and I start #chasecation2026!
2025 provided Matt with his first tornado (an EF2) and many incredible storms. Time to level up w/ a favourable patttern ahead!
