I'm not sure if folks know that all the art for Neopets Magazine was still done by the in-house Neopets art team! Very little was outsourced back then when it came to merch/tie-ins, which was kinda unheard of at the time. A couple of my spreads, from my last summer working at Neopets:

Bee takes on the task. She decides to test her theories on falling in love based by engineering a crush and a relationship. Her choosen lab rat is Dev, an artist-skateboarder from the high school popularity dumpster and the least likely person to be the male lead of a mid-00s romcom set in LA. (2/4)

As an ace myself, I'm really happy to make this comic for us aces who long for the dream of love and to be recognised for who we are!! Other than the cover (first image in first post), I drew all of the concept art here The cover is done by Erica (friedricecomic.tumblr.com) w/ design by me (4/4)

The experiment works, too well. Bee has fallen in love with Dev, but as the relationship becomes physical she realises that there are some parts of romance that she cannot reciprocate. Will she get her happily ever after, or will her fantasy come crashing down? (3/4)
