One of my favorite obscure 80s cartoons is Spiral Zone. The individual episodes are pretty standard 80s animated fare, but the concept is wild as hell. The Earth has been taken over by a paramilitary faction that is using biochemical generators to turn the populace into living zombies. Crazy!
