American Ex-pat in Scotland, girl-dad, UK Denizen, medium-old guy. Renewable energy and retrofit expert. Moonlights as a pitch-black nightmare deep-sea creature. I am happy to have a difference of opinion, but the deliberately obtuse will be blocked.

If the Paramount - Warner Bros Discovery merger goes through, one company—one family—would have editorial control over the CBS and CNN archives. That’s editorial control over history itself. Tell the CMA to #BlockTheMerger at blockthemerger.com/uk
From one of the many PR emails I'm getting about the government social media ban. Obviously this is from someone selling this technology. But stop to think about just how utterly dystopian this is: *constant* video surveillance of all online activity, for everyone.
"Sky News has verified the identities of everyone from the school who was killed. 120 students, 73 boys & 47 girls, aged from 6 to 13, & 26 teachers, who were killed in the strike". Tom Cheshire reports on the primary school bombed by the US. 120 children & 26 teachers, all murdered.

Meanwhile, police in New Jersey have reportedly been stopping journalists from entering the area around Delaney Hall — where it has been common for police and DHS agents to use pepper balls, pepper spray, etc. against protesters — if they are wearing PPE masks. freedom.press/issues/ppe-b...
We have a 15%? slow down already. Most people can’t even comprehend what that means. And are even further away from coming to terms with what adaptation will mean.
On June 12, Justice Johnson handed down draconian sentences totalling more than 26 years in prison to four young Palestine Action activists, ruling for the first time in legal history that acts of criminal damage carried out during a protest constitute offences with a “terrorist connection.”
"A decade later, the pound has never returned above its pre-Brexit level, hitting British holidaymakers in the pocket. From close to $1.50 against the dollar and €1.31 against the euro just after polling closed, the pound stands at $1.34 and €1.15." Brexit has made us all poorer...

And just like that, it completely VANISHED from the media. But a sitting congressman, Ted Lieu, said on the record The Epstein files are being blocked because they show Trump raped and threatened to kill children. Don't trust me... listen to him 👇
So we're really going to uphold terror offences against over 3,500 people for holding up signs, at the same time that Tommy Robinson, Nogel Farage and Rupert Lowe have been inciting pogroms? Fucking joke country.
“Farage, Robinson and Musk don’t give two hoots about Nowak, Ogilvie or any other victim of crime. Their selective outrage is reserved for cases in which they can attempt to opportunistically foment hatred against people of colour, migrants or Muslims” www.thenational.scot/politics/261...

NEW: Videos show ICE agents defying Connecticut’s new mask ban during recent arrests. The agency says it “will not abide by” the ban. "Tell them. I dare you,” an agent said in one video. “Who’s going to arrest me?” My latest at @ctinsider.bsky.social — www.ctinsider.com/news/article... #nutmegsky

"Don't look up." The US is pulling funding for climate science, including AMOC. Other countries dithering on whether to fund this essential monitoring. The interests that maintain the status quo would prefer the world blind than admit to the imminent catastrophe ahead
