I was living in Seattle, not L.A., in the 80s, but for me this video perfectly captures the urban ennui vibe of that decade. Abruptly pulling up the stakes and heading for Alaska for what I thought would be a single summer was a liberation I didn’t see coming. This is nostalgic, but I don’t miss it.
